Ophthalmic photography continues to be well-reimbursed, because it involves a high level of technical expertise... and Angiographics supplies that expertise.
Since 1980, Angiographics has been providing ophthalmologists with stereo fluorescein angiography, fundus and optic nerve photography. We can perform these services either in your office or at your local hospital. Our technicians are experts at integrating seamlessly into your practice. We have experience with all fundus cameras and all digital systems, should you already have your own camera.
If you don't currently provide ophthalmic photography in your office, you should consider it for the practice enhancements it provides:
In your office, hospital, or surgicenter we provide the following Ophthalmic Photography services:
Using our camera, we supply you with a CD for each patient, with all images in JPEG format. In addition, we supply your practice with a USB memory stick containing all your exams. That way you can keep the CD in the patient charts, but have an additional copy of all the exam photos in one location as a backup or to review on any computer.
We can, if requested, provide photo quality inkjet prints for clients who need a hard copy, at a slight additional cost. We can also work with your IT people to download your images into your Electronic Medical Record (but be aware that this is never as simple as the EMR salesmen promise, and that photographs can put a serious strain on your system's storage memory).
We provide the ophthalmic photographer plus all photographic and digital supplies. Your office is responsible for all medical supplies and the performance of the venipuncture (Why don't we inject?). If you would prefer not to inject we can make arrangements for an independent RN to come to your office to perform the injections. With an RN to inject, we can usually do 4 angiograms per hour, so the pro-rated cost of the nurse is minimized.
